What are Division Staff?
Division Staff are the members in charge of creating and maintaining squads in a division. Division Staff is made up of three different roles: Division Officer, Commanding Officer, and Executive Officer. In a normal scenario, a Division is made up of one Division Officer, one Commanding Officer per battalion, and one Executive Officer per console in each battalion. Communication between all members of Division Staff is paramount in a successful division.
What is a battalion?
A battalion is a geographic area in which members are more likely to be playing the given game at similar times. Battalions are traditionally either North American (NA) or European (EU), but can be expanded upon based on game specific needs.
Division Officer (DO)
A Division Officer is the person directly in charge and responsible for everything in the division. The DO promotes Commanding Officers and Executive Officers to help maintain the division. The DO has the final say in all developments of the division. It is the responsibility of the DO to address any issues that arise within the division, see that all members abide by VG’s rules and code of conduct, and administer disciplinary actions when necessary. A DO is ranked Brigadier General, and is considered a member of the UCoC.
Commanding Officer (CO)
A Commanding Officer is promoted by the DO, and is the person directly in charge of the Executive Officers of the assigned battalion and reports directly to the DO. Commanding Officers are to monitor member updating requests for their battalion, and ensure that they are done in a timely manner. A CO is ranked Captain, and is considered a member of Senior Staff.
Executive Officer (XO)
An Executive Officer is promoted by the DO, and is the person directly in charge of the squad leaders of their assigned console, in their assigned battalion and reports directly to the CO of their assigned battalion. The XO is in charge of forming squads, checking in new members and assigning them to squads, and ensuring all squads are conducting regular practices. An XO is ranked 2nd Lieutenant, and is considered a member of Senior Staff.
